Hamilton Transit Center opened February 16, 1999 as an intermodal complex. It is located near a former American Standard plant.

It takes about an hour and 15 minutes for local trains departing from Hamilton to reach New York Penn Station, and vice versa. Express trains make the trip in an hour.
