Fatlabs
Fatlabs, is a Canadian audio recording studio Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It was established in 2003 by Vikas Kohli. The studio is known for its ability to work with an assortment of genres. The studio is most well know for its work with Bollywood star Mika Singh and its work with independent artists in the Toronto area.[1]
Mission IstaanbulFatLabs Vikas Kohli was commissioned to produce and co-arrange the song ?Apun Ke Saath? for acclaimed Bollywood director Apoorva Lakhia?s major motion picture Mission Istanbul which was internationally released on July 25, 2008.[2] [3] ArtistsMika SinghThe studio gained publicity when Bollywood star Mika Singh wanted to take his popular bhangra style in a new direction. Vikas has worked on several tracks with Mika, including "Whiskey (Daru)" released in 2008 and yet to be released tracks "Nazare Milane Vale", "Bin Tere", and "Tere Pyar Mein".[4] The ResponsiblesIn 2006 The Responsibles released their debut album "Class * Action * Suit", Recorded, Mixed & Produced by Vikas Kohli at Fatlabs recording studio. The album charted in the top 100 nationally and the top 10 locally, and got them a nomination at the 2006 Hamilton Music Awards for "punk recording of the year". In 2008 The Responsibles released their second album recorded at FatLabs studio, entitled "The FatLabs Sessions". It also received a nomination for "Punk Recording of the Year" at the Hamilton Music Awards. [5] Moka Only & Lenny Dikorap artists Moka Only and Lenny Diko collaborated with Vikas on one track. State of Bengal & Sheniz JanmohamedState of Bengal (Saifullah [Sam] Zaman), a British Asian Underground DJ/Producer from the UK collaborated with Canadian poet Sheniz Janmohamed at FatLabs studio. Cappadonna/Tef & DonAmerican rapper and affiliate of the Wu-Tang Clan, Cappadonna, joined forces with Toronto rap artists Tef & Don to work on the track "MI Familia" at FatLabs studio. [6] Clients
