"Family Business" is an episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, the 23rd episode of the third season. It marks the first appearances of three recurring characters: Quark's mother Ishka, Captain Kasidy Yates, and Liquidator Brunt, F.C.A. A Ferengi-type stock ticker appears in the episode; like much about Ferengi language, it is hexagonal in design.
Plot
Quark returns to his home planet to confront his mother, who has broken the Ferengi law prohibiting females from earning a profit.
