Daniel HDR
Daniel HDR (born 1974) is a Brazilian comic book artist. Born in Porto Alegre, he began as a professional in comics in 1988, at age 14, at first participating in illustrations for comic books that offered space for the reader?s art. Later, he began performing work as an illustrator for local publishers as Press Editora, D?Arte, Ondas and others. In 1995, he made his debut in the North-American comics industry, at Image Comics, and after that at Marvel Comics and Dark Horse Press. At the same time, he continued to work with other Brazilian publishers, including JBC Editora, Editora Abril, Mythos Editora and Brainstorm. In 2000, he produced the official manga adaptation of animated series Digimon. As a teacher, Daniel HDR has been lessing comics classes since 1994 in partnership with the government of Rio Grande do Sul, besides teaching at UNISINOS (comics and manga), FEEVALE (Sequential Arts) and PUC-RS (Japanese Institute) colleges. He is currently working for Avatar Press. His new works include Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The Grind, Medieval Lady Death and Classic Lady Death. External links
