Cyrus Lupo
Det. Cyrus Lupo is a fictional character on the long-running NBC series Law & Order. He is played by Jeremy Sisto and replaced Nina Cassady, who was written out of the show due to Milena Govich's departure from the cast. Character DevelopmentPrior to his transfer to the 27th precinct, he was a member of the NYPD Intelligence Division investigating terrorist groups, and before that a patrolman in the 27th precinct. Lupo partners with Ed Green in order to solve the assisted suicide death of his brother.[1] In a later investigation, he takes advantage of an opportunity to learn the names of the practicing psychiatrist's patients by e-mailing himself the patient list on his Blackberry.[2] The evidence obtained was later ruled inadmissible. Lieutenant Anita Van Buren rebukes Detectives Lupo and Green for a "bad search". While Lupo was still a patrolman, he fell asleep on the job and his partner was shot dead because of it.[3] When Ed Green left, Lupo became the second detective to be promoted from Junior to Senior Partner. PersonalityLupo was able to identify a Bible quote as coming from the book of Romans.[4] Prior to her marrying his brother, Lupo had been involved with his sister-in-law.[5] It has also been revealed that he speaks Spanish and is attending night courses at Brooklyn Law School.[6] Later, there was an in-joke in which Lupo thinks about "getting a dog".[7] The final scene is of him taking one home, named "Otto.[8] References
