Each issue also contains questions and answers about Christian Science, book reviews, artwork, interviews, poems, and a worldwide directory of Christian Science practitioners, teachers, churches, Reading Rooms, organizations at universities and colleges, nurses and Committees on Publication. Eddy described the publication in its early years as "...designed to bear aloft the standard of genuine Christian Science".
