CholestenesCholestenes are derivatives of cholestanes which have a double bond. One of the most significant cholestenes is cholecalciferol. If there are two double bonds, the molecule is known as a "cholestadienes". Examples include fusidic acid, lanosterol, and stigmasterol. See alsoExternal links
