Baron Hacking

Baron Hacking, of Chorley in the County Palatine of Lancaster, is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created in 1945 for the Conservative politician Douglas Hacking. He was Chairman of the Conservative Party from 1936 to 1942. Hacking had already been created a Baronet in 1938. As of 2007 the titles are held by his grandson, the third Baron, who succeeded his father in 1971.
