B Is for B-sides is a 12 track album by Less Than Jake. It is composed of songs recorded for the album Anthem that did not make the release. The album was released in 2004 by Sire Records. A techno remix of the album (limited to 2000 copies) was offered for sale exclusively at live shows, and features the same track listing, albeit remixed in an electronica style [1].

Though the band originally wanted to release the songs on four-3 song EPs on independent labels, Warner told the band that they could either release a CD or the songs would never see the light of the day
Originally, the lyrics to "Portrait of a Cigarette Smoker at 19" had the chorus singing 'We're all doing just fine' instead of 'There might not be a next time'.
The vocals to "Sleep It Off" were recorded at the Anthem listening party and the people talking can be heard in the background at the end of the track. The song is also the name for Less Than Jake's current record label.
"A.S.A.O.K." is an abbreviation meaning "All Systems A-OK".
"Jay Frenzal" refers to Jason Whalley of Frenzal Rhomb, who has one line on the track.
Roger Manganelli has stated that he hates playing "National Anthem" live as "we can't play that fast anymore" and that the song was "written in like five minutes".
