BBC Alba
is the Scottish Gaelic name for Scotland's national broadcaster, BBC Scotland and the name is generally used to describe the Scottish Gaelic services of the BBC. Some of BBC Alba's more notable programming includes the international issues magazine (Europe), children's programme (What Now?) and comedy sketch show (Back on the Ran Dan). BBC Alba are responsible for the national Scottish Gaelic radio station BBC Radio nan Gàidheal. BBC Alba will also be responsible for the upcoming Gaelic-languaage television channel, also called BBC Alba[1]. In July 2008, BBC Alba launched an extended news service to tie in with the launch of the digital television channel.[2] See alsoReferencesExternal links
