Einstein also hosts the MCPS Visual Arts Center. AttendanceThroughout the years, Albert Einstein High School has experienced many issues regarding student attendance. As of September 2006, the administration began implementing "Hall Sweeps" in order to motivate students to arrive to classes on time. During a Hall Sweep, students are "swept" up by staff and given detention after school if they linger in the halls after class has started. Additionally, any student that arrives late to school (unexcused) is given an after school detention. This strict attendance policy has boosted the attendance rate from 75% on-time, to 90% on-time. International Baccalaureate ProgramThe International Baccalaureate Program at Albert Einstein High School was initiated in the Fall of 2004. The class of 2006 was the first class from the school to graduate with IB Diplomas. External links
