Abbotsford Preparatory School
Abbotsford Preparatory School is an independent day school located in Urmston, Greater Manchester, England.
HistoryAbbotsford Preparatory School was founded as Caius House School in 1908, and was originally located on Church Road, Urmston before moving to its present location on Flixton Road in the 1990s. Abbotsford is now part of the Global Education Management Systems (GEMS) group of schools. 100th Anniversary2008 marks the 100th Anniversary of the opening of the school and several occasions are planned to mark the occasion during the year. HousesPupils are split in to traditional year groups, (Pre-school, Reception, Years 1-6), although each pupil is also a member of one of four Houses, which compete in against each other in competitions. The Houses are named after trees:
