ACCAC
ACCAC (the acronym of Awdurdod Cymwysterau, Cwricwlwm ac Asesu Cymru) is the Qualifications, Curriculum and Assessment Authority for Wales. ACCAC is an Assembly Sponsored Public Body. It is the National Assembly for Wales's principal advisory body on matters relating to education and qualifications. All external qualifications in Wales are regulated by ACCAC with the exception of NVQs, which QCA is responsible for. ACCAC is based in Cardiff, South Wales. Its English equivalent is the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). Changes of March 2006As of March 2006, ACCAC merged with the Education Department of the Welsh Assembly Government. On 1 April 2006, ACCAC merged with the Welsh Assembly Government's new Department for Education Lifelong Learning and Skills (DELLS). See alsoExternal links
