	Toast \Toast\, n. [OF. toste, or tost['e]e, toasted bread. See
   Toast, v.]
   1. Bread dried and browned before a fire, usually in slices;
      also, a kind of food prepared by putting slices of toasted
      bread into milk, gravy, etc.
