   Owning.] [OE. ohnien, ahnien, AS. [=a]gnian, fr. [=a]gen
   own, a. See Own, a.]
   To hold as property; to have a legal or rightful title to; to
   be the proprietor or possessor of; to possess; as, to own a
   house.
